Dear Mr. Moyle:

I wanted to send a note letting you know how much the board members and I appreciate the hard work, ingenuity, and organizational skills used by Barbara in making our recent event a success.  Between a very large party of attendees which agreed to attend at the last minute, and walk-ins at the door on the morning of the luncheon, we exceeded the originally estimated number of guests by a fair margin.   We thought upwards of ten people might have to go without a meal, but Barbara pulled us through and somehow fed everyone.   We're very grateful for saving us from what could've been a major and lasting embarrassment.   Give HER an award which says "Caterer Extraordinaire"!

Also your bartender, Stephanie, had considerably less business than we would've hoped for her having to work on a Sunday afternoon, but she was pleasant and cheerful the entire time.  Joking with her actually kept me calmer during some of the "all is lost" moments.   

Your staff is to be commended.   It was a pleasure doing business with you, and hope to see you again in two years for our next club luncheon event.
